Edward Jones Dome (RAMS) Fundraiser
We've
just received word that a last minute opportunity for
training has been added at the Edward Jones Dome.
Training
for working concessions on March 28
at the Edward Jones Dome will be held on MARCH
23rd at 6pm. If anyone still wants to work concessions with
us and has not yet been to training at the Dome, HERE IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY.
If
you want to work for Family Personal Account points
and a share of the commission earned,
and you have not yet been trained at the Dome,
you MUST attend this training.
We
need at least 20 people to have our own stand.
Training
will start promptly at 6:00pm.
The doors open at 5:30 to get people signed in and to get ID pictures
taken.
All persons attending this training should arrive early,
as the doors will close at 6:00pm and no one else
will be allowed to enter the building.
You must bring a photo ID with your date of birth on it.
Everyone will enterat the circle drive at Entry A.
Training will take place in the SPortservice warehouse
Call
me for additional information
or if you want to attend.
I will need to turn in a roster prior to your attendance.

As communicated at
the Band Booster meeting, those parents volunteering to work concessions
at the Edward Jones Dome will receive 1 Family Personal
Account point for each event worked and will
also receive a portion of 50% of the profits into their Family
Account. Mr. Myers and the Boosters have agreed to forfeit
50% of the commission from the Dome events that was intended to
go to the General Fund in order to do this.
This means that the commission raised by parents working the Dome
events will be divided in half, with 50% going to the Family Personal
Account fund and the other 50% divided into the accounts of those
who work the events. This was decided for several reasons:
- To encourage more
participation in both the Family Personal Account program and
working at the Dome.
- To offer more opportunity
for people to fundraise a greater portion of their trip cost.
- Fundraising at Busch
stadium over the summer allowed us to be in a more favorable
financial position than in past years. Trip bus costs and other
expenses can be covered by band card sales, cookie dough, etc.
- Working concessions
requires commitment and the workday can last up to 8 hours.
If you are interested
in joining us, please e-mail
or call Sally at 314-603-7513 or 636-942-4743.
Are
you ready? Here we go!
As you are now probably
aware, our fundraising efforts at the Edward Jones Dome this year
will be split 50/50 between the Family
Personal Accounts and the General Booster Fund. Everyone volunteering
to work concessions with us at the Dome will receive one share
point for their Family Personal Accounts and half of the money
earned at the Dome will go into that pool.
With that said, who’s
ready to go to training?
